Event summary

95% of the participants in the symposium consider technology an ally of SEN children, but 66% admit that the existing technology is not good enough to cater for diversity.

In this event we interviewed the education advisor for ICT and Inclusion Carol Allen. She points out some key aspects to guarantee a more inclusive teaching in our classes, and reflects on how the pandemic and distance learning have affected students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), especially those with ADHD, autism and dyslexia.

The role of EdTech

The expert also gives us some practical tips on the role of technology in personalising learning and how to accompany it with effective and meaningful teaching for the student.

Allen shares some technological tools for the different learning disorders to empower SEN students and help them become more self-sufficient. In addition, she gives us some advice on how teachers can keep up to date with new learning tools and possibilities.
